Our Core Values

These are more than just catchy slogans. Our values are words we live by. They permeate everything we do as a company.

Core Value:
Do the right thing.

The right thing might not be easy, it might not be cheap, and it might not be in the contract, but it’s what is needed. It might be a hard conversation about a business model that doesn’t work or realizing that we have to start over to get it right. We’ve got stories; some are too hard to tell, and some are the basis of 12-year client relationships. Yet in every case, doing the right thing is something we decide every morning at 9am when we open our doors. It continues all day, every day. It’s who we are.

Core Value:
Be responsive.

We build relationships with the best B2B technology companies – but the truth is that you can’t trust a relationship if you can’t trust you’ll get a response when you need one. When you work with us, you’ll have that trust. We never leave our clients hanging and we’re always there to answer crucial questions, for you or your team. We’ve promised to be there every step of the way, from vision to destination. That’s just how we do it. Email, texts, calls, whatever – we’re with you to make it happen. We’re there when you need us.

Core Value:
Remain teachable.

We know a lot, but we don’t know it all – sorry. We’ve learned early on that working with our clients is a partnership. Our experience and our ongoing learning are all focused on bringing more to the table each time we work with a client. Every day, every meeting, every campaign, we strive to build on our momentum for success. Our clients are brilliant in their own right, and when we work with clients who know their stuff, the combination can set the world on fire. We strive to never get ahead of ourselves, knowing that there is something new to learn around every corner.

Core Value:
Work passionately.

Nothing great has ever been accomplished by people who don’t care. Impacts are made by people doing what they love – and we love what we do. We believe helping businesses grow through marketing matters, and we want to do it as well as we possibly can. Yet we also strive to maintain a healthy perspective on our work: to make sure it remains a purpose-driven love and doesn’t become an unhealthy burden. We believe in the value of rest; we also believe that passion makes hard work easy. It’s what drives us to share ideas, solve problems, and create results. And it just might set the world on fire.

Core Value:
Make it a "9."

Winston Churchill once said, "Perfection is the enemy of progress." This value is our commitment to progress toward excellence. It’s also a reminder that chasing some subjective perspective of perfection leads to failure. To make work a “9”, we have to define the goal of each piece of work. Only then can we create something that’s as good as it can possibly be. We’re committed to providing the most value for our clients rather than deliberating on degrees of subjective perfection. We’re committed to avoiding waste. Most of all, we’re committed to getting the right results – again and again.

Senior Graphic Designer

You understand that good creative is the “it” factor behind successful marketing. You’ve probably always enjoyed designing and appreciate good design in everything from the websites you visit to your favorite coffee cup.

You landed in the marketing industry because it’s the perfect place to practice your craft and test your skills in the real world. You create designs for a purpose – landing pages that keep visitors engaged and advertisements that people can’t help but to click. Good design is a combination of art, science, and a surprising amount of psychology.

It’s not that you think design is a nice-to-have. Poor design frustrates you. “It’s good enough” is a four-letter word.

You love being a part of a team that values good creative and knows that the best marketing requires craftsmen and craftswomen from a variety of specialties.

Your plan for your career is to become a creative director one day.

We are looking for someone to blow the doors off our design work.

We offer competitive compensation, benefits, etc., but we know you want more.

If this sounds like you, we should meet.

IF YOU LOVE…

  • creating designs (primarily digital) that makes a real impact to marketing performance,
  • aligning designs to focus on the right audience and message for the given context,
  • proving to unbelievers that the creative side of marketing isn’t “fluff”, it leads to demonstrable results,
  • working alongside other specialists (copywriters, strategists, etc.) to product digital assets that prospects can’t ignore,
  • working with organizations to determine their brand,
  • and developing designs that provoke action and response,

… then this is the. position for you! You are the go-to resource for all things brand and design – everything from brand workshops to creating irresistible website designs.

WHAT YOU HAVE PROBABLE DONE…

  • have an excellent design portfolio with over a dozen sites under your belt,
  • worked as a designer (preferable in the agency world) for 4+ years,
  • created striking visuals for a variety of advertisements (social ads, paid search ads, etc.)
  • dipped your toe into the development world enough to know when a design will keep a developer up at night (but wouldn’t call yourself a designer),
  • created designs for assets from postcards to ebooks to vehicle wraps,
  • used the Adobe Suite so much that it’s an extension of your body (like a peg-leg, but more useful).

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

9 am – Arrive at the office in beautiful downtown Frederick, grab a cup of freshly roasted coffee, and have a laugh or two with the team.

10 am – Have our daily all-hands meeting with the team. Great work is accomplished through collaboration.

11 am – You walked a client through a new website template you were part of creating (which they loved). Afterward, you and the team bounce additional ideas off each other, and you can’t wait to see the template come to life when it’s developed.

12 pm – Lunch outside on our porch where you get to know others on the team a bit more.

1 pm – You sit with the content developer and spin up a few ad variations that we needed a quick turnaround on. You leave confident that they will really engage with the client’s audience and can’t wait to see the results.

2 pm – You jump on a call with a contractor to talk through a whitepaper design they are working on. You walk through an outline you had put together previously to guide the conversation and clarify a few points of confusion in a bit more detail.

3 pm – You sit down to design a new infographic that you think could win a few awards. You wrap it up excited because you know the client will love it.

4 pm – The whole team comes together, and we have our weekly meeting. We talk big picture, review client feedback, and work through a few issues that popped up throughout the week.

5:30 pm – You wrap up some loose ends on a logo variation you were working on and head home after what seemed like a fast and productive day.

But every day is not the same. Other days include big logo pitches, deep thinking, or more brainstorming. Your day is all about driving the quality of our creative product to a new level.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING…

  • A $70,000 to $80,000 salary. The more experience you have, the closer you will be to the upper-end.
  • Health, dental, and vision.
  • Flexible schedules that account for being a human being.
  • Cool, creative office space located in downtown Frederick MD,
  • A team that is on a mission and loves to create good work.
  • A chance to be a part of something big.

Note: This is not a fully remote role, although hybrid is an option. The best collaborative tools still can’t replicate some in-person collaboration. Plus, there is something about spending time with teammates face-to-face that makes work more enjoyable. Call us crazy.

Marketing Strategist

You have been playing strategic roles in the marketing world for several years now, but you are looking for a role where you can really make a difference.

You want to find a role that strikes a balance between strategizing for the big picture and getting your hands dirty. You love vision-casting, but you also want out on the field.

2 pm – With a strong background in {{favorite.marketing.channel}} you roll your sleeves up and dive into some production work.

3 pm – You sit down to document an ABM strategy we will be building in the coming weeks. You were able to leverage a new software that you found out about last month and can’t wait to see how the campaign performs.

Marketing Technology Specialist

You have been in several martech roles with experience working in many CRMs, marketing automation platforms, and analytic suites. Diving into a new platform for the first time is like opening a Christmas gift as a kid – you didn’t know all that would be in there, but you were excited to find out. You’re not a developer, but you really get technology.

While you have had a lot of experience in martech, you are looking for a role where you can really make a difference. You want a role where you see the results of your analysis, the utilization of the automation you make, and a happy client at the end of it. You don’t want to be a cog.

Not only that, but you want to work with people who are passionate about what they do. Honestly, you want to work with people who are better than you so you can grow.

We have been building our agency for over 13 years, and as we grow we need to add a martech specialist to the team to serve our clients across the B2B tech landscape. You’ll be working alongside industry veterans to develop marketing campaigns that blow our client’s minds.

// On a related note, we just won Frederick’s Best Places to Work 2022! We are pretty excited about it. //

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

9 am – Arrive at the office in beautiful downtown Frederick, grab a cup of freshly roasted coffee, and catch up with the team.

10 am – Have our daily all-hands meeting with the team to get answers to a few questions you had on an email drip you were working on building.

11 am – You chat with a strategist about an analytics report you are putting together for a client as you both identify how to best visualize the data from a recent campaign. Great work is accomplished through collaboration.

12 pm – Lunch outside on the patio where you get to know others on the team a bit more.

1 pm – You sit with the Paid Ads Specialist to figure out a few challenges he is having with attribution tracking. You decide that you should rework the way that UTM parameters are set up and shoot a message to the project manager to get that scheduled.

1:30 pm – You jump on a call with a client to talk through a few questions you had as you were cleaning up their HubSpot instance. The client is thrilled with the progress so far and you leave with newfound energy. You wouldn’t want to be in client meetings all day, but it’s fun every once in a while.

2 pm – After the meeting, you shift gears and check in on an ABM campaign that you have been managing for a few weeks. The results are pretty good so far, but you tweak a few things like sending speed and spin up a new campaign targeting a new segment.
